  1. BJH’s “Rock’n’Roll Star” obviously influenced by the Byrds song of nearly the same name? Surely it is largely a rewrite of The Eagles “One of these Nights”? The guitar break is the big giveaway.

    • Feeling a bit daft for leaving such a juvenile alias now (my real name is John).

Anyway, just wanted to thank you for frequently showcasing Ship Ahoy by the O’Jays. I got it last week and it’s a fine album.

      John (aka Richard)

  2. I had never heard of him but I do like it. My first instinct was that it was similar to Supertramp. Then I looked him up and all became clear! Thanks Bob

  3. Hi John … I’ll call you John, Richard … I’m pleased you like the Ship Ahoy album, it really is a wonderful record. If you got it as a result of me playing it on The Album Collection, I’m well chuffed.
